25 years at Nordkap, now in Kjul

For a quarter of a century, Stald Nordkap near Tversted was a farm for horses and people, with riding holidays and horse breeding. New hosts have now taken over the farm.

Gitte has moved with her horses to Kjul, on the coast between Hirtshals and Tversted. She is carrying on the horsehair jewellery and expanding it.

Nordkap is the name of Gitte’s jewellery. It comes from the former farm Stald Nordkap near Tversted in North Jutland and has nothing to do with the North Cape in Norway.

A piece of your horse

The tail hair of your horse becomes a bracelet, a necklace or a pendant. Combined with freshwater pearls, lava stone, leather, sterling silver or stainless steel.

How the hair gets to Gitte

  1. Cut a strandA finger-thick strand from the tail, as long as possible.
  2. Into an envelopeWith a note: your name, your address, email or phone number.
  3. Design it togetherOnce the hair arrives, Gitte gets in touch and you work out the design together.
Step 1: the strand from the tail.

Prefer a finished piece? There is also jewellery made from the hair of Gitte’s own horses.

Horsehair jewellery is available from 100 DKK, shipping included.

What the sea leaves on the beach
